– Flight 7641 is scheduled to depart Mumbai at 9.30am and will be expected to land at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 1.15pm

Kenyans who are stranded in India due to coronavirus travel restrictions will have to part with KSh 120,000 for a charter flight to Nairobi.

Kilavuka, who spoke to Daily Nation, said flight 7641 is scheduled to depart Mumbai at 9.30am and will be expected to land at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 1.15pm.

The new strain of COVID-19 in India reached heights never experienced by other nations since the global pandemic started in late 2019.

Edward Ochieng, the administrator of a WhatsApp group formed to bring the Kenyans together, accompanied his dad, who was referred to New Delhi for special medication.

Ochieng said he could no longer stay in India because the doctors advised they return to Kenya and come back after five months for his operation, but they had no means to fly back home.
