This news spreads some hope on the future of travelling.

Qatar Airways have revealed that they will be operating the world’s first flight where all crew and passengers will be fully vaccinated.

Taking to their official Twitter account they shared the exciting news, writing, “Today marks a major milestone, as we operate the world’s first flight with fully vaccinated crew and passengers.”

“#QR6421 is operated with our @Airbus A350-1000 and we’re delighted to have special amenity kits for all our passengers” they added, sharing a photo of the pillow, blanket and commemorative toiletry bag that passengers will receive on the flight.

The milestone flight will not be travelling too far away, as it will be a test flight for safety and hygiene procedures, rather than bringing passengers to a new destination.

The flight will be a three hour circle over the skies of Doha, with departure from Hamad International Airport happening at 11:00 local time and then landing back in the same airport  at 14:00. 

According to the SimpleFlying, the flight aims to demonstrate “all the measures the airline has put in place to ensure the highest standards of safety and hygiene onboard, including its latest innovation, the world’s first ‘Zero-Touch’ in-flight entertainment technology.”
