Former culture, tourism official under arrest for bribery


The Supreme People’s Procuratorate (SPP) on Saturday announced its decision to arrest Li Jinzao, former vice minister of culture and tourism, for suspected bribe-taking.

The National Supervisory Commission has completed an investigation into Li’s case and handed it over to prosecutors, the SPP said.

Li has been expelled from the Communist Party of China and dismissed from public office over serious violations of Party discipline and laws.
