Experts, professional climbers call for integrated policy on mountaineering

Experts and professional climbers have urged the government to set up a professional mountaineering school and a strong Alpine Club of Pakistan (ACP) having the right professionals on board.

While speaking at a webinar on “Mountaineering Challenges Confronting Pakistan”, the experts appreciated the Pakistan army for conducting the rescue operations quite efficiently when needed.

The national mountaineering federation is a weaker body with lack of organizational skills, competency and transparency right from its elections to its performance.
