Emirates News Agency – ADFD funds AED37 million MSME Development Project in Colombia

ABU DHABI, 8th April, 2021 (WAM) — Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), took part in a virtual ceremony organised by the Colombian Presidential Agency of International Cooperation (APC-Colombia), to launch a project to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Colombia.

The AED37 million (US$10 million) programme will be funded from an AED165 million ($45 million) grant extended by the UAE government to Colombia.

The project includes both financial and non-financial support, the latter comprising technical assistance, capacity building, drawing action plans for the individual entities, as well as connecting…

Portugal seeks to avoid summer visitor quarantines ‘at all costs’

Portugal will do its best to avoid visitors having to enter quarantine on arrival this summer, its tourism Minister said on Wednesday, as Europe moves towards a Covid-19 passport to restart the travel industry. Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways board recommends 10% capital increase to 22m dinars

Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways said its board of directors recommended a 10 per cent increase in the company’s capital amid the “most challenging six quarters” for the global travel and tourism industry. Abu Dhabi extends fee exemptions for hotels until June 30

Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism extended exemptions on tourism and municipality fees for hotel operators in the emirate for a further three months to June 30.
