There are plenty of destinations with new visas for remote workers, but Madeira has taken things one step further and opened up an entire village to those who want to come and do their job from the island.
The aptly-named Digital Nomads Village will offer travellers a free working space with a desk and chair, free internet, and access to a Slack community. There will also be plenty of fun events run alongside the local community.
It’s been designed to be “an entire village dedicated to welcome a growing community of workers who no longer need to be located in their home country”.
