RocketRez raises $8.4 million Series A round as it looks to help tourism businesses amid pandemic

Steinbach, Manitoba-based SaaS startup RocketRez has raised an $8.4 million CAD Series A round of funding, bringing the startups’ total funding to date to $9.01 million.

The investment consists of $6.4 million CAD ($5 million USD) in equity financing from new investor Blueprint Equity, which is based in the United States and $2 million CAD in revenue-based financing from new investor TIMIA Capital.

Pendergast noted while the pandemic has had an adverse effect on the tourism sector, the long-term demand for services in tourism is not going anywhere.
