No bubble bounce back for New Zealand tourism | Sky News Australia

Travel operators in Queenstown have told Sky News that the trans-Tasman bubble has not delivered the windfall they were expecting.

Quarantine-free travel between Australia and New Zealand has been allowed since March but that does not mean tourists are taking advantage of the opportunity.

However, Queenstown tourism operators believe the ski season will be the ticket to their recovery with hopes Australians will return in droves and spend up big when they arrive.
